About

The Code of Conduct for Students of Dnyaan Prasad Global University – School of Technology & Research (DPGU-STR), Pune, establishes the standards of behavior, ethics, discipline, and professionalism expected from all students. The Code is intended to create a safe, inclusive, respectful, and academically enriching environment that promotes learning, innovation, and personal growth.

All students admitted to DPGU-STR shall comply with this Code of Conduct while on campus, participating in academic activities, representing the University, or engaging in any University-related event conducted on or off campus.

Non-compliance with this Code may result in disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the University authorities.

Student Code of Conduct

Academic Responsibility
  • Students shall attend all lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, examinations, and other academic activities as prescribed by the University.
  • Students shall maintain the minimum attendance requirements as stipulated by the University and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Students shall uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and refrain from plagiarism, cheating, fabrication of data, impersonation, or any form of academic malpractice.
  • Students shall give proper acknowledgment to all sources of information, research, and intellectual contributions used in academic work.
  • Students shall maintain honesty, transparency, and ethical practices while undertaking projects, internships, research activities, and laboratory work.
Respect and Professional Conduct
  • Students shall treat fellow students, faculty members, staff, visitors, and stakeholders with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
  • Students shall refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or abusive behavior based on gender, religion, caste, ethnicity, nationality, language, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other personal characteristic.
  • Students shall communicate respectfully and professionally in person, in writing, and through digital platforms.
  • Students shall contribute positively to maintaining an inclusive, collaborative, and harmonious campus environment.
Discipline and Campus Conduct
  • Students shall carry their University Identity Card while on campus and present it whenever required by authorized personnel.
  • Students shall comply with all University rules, regulations, notices, and instructions issued from time to time.
  • Students shall maintain discipline within classrooms, laboratories, libraries, hostels, sports facilities, and all other University premises.
  • Students shall not engage in disruptive activities that interfere with teaching, learning, research, administration, or other University functions.
Safety and Security
  • Students shall observe all safety regulations applicable to laboratories, workshops, innovation centres, and other specialized facilities.
  • Students shall use prescribed safety equipment and protective gear wherever required.
  • Students shall cooperate with security personnel and comply with emergency procedures, evacuation plans, and disaster management protocols.
  • Students shall follow traffic and parking regulations within the University campus.
Use of University Resources
  • Students shall use University infrastructure, facilities, equipment, laboratories, libraries, and digital resources responsibly and only for legitimate academic and educational purposes.
  • Any intentional damage, theft, misuse, or unauthorized use of university property shall attract disciplinary action and recovery of the cost of damages.
  • Students shall protect and respect intellectual property, confidential information, and institutional resources.
Digital and Social Media Conduct
  • Students shall use information technology resources responsibly and ethically.
  • Cyber bullying, online harassment, unauthorized access to systems, data theft, spreading misinformation, and defamatory content are strictly prohibited.
  • Students shall maintain the dignity and reputation of the University while using social media and other online platforms.
  • Violations of cyber laws or University IT policies may result in disciplinary and legal action.
Anti-Ragging
  • DPGU-STR follows a Zero-Tolerance Policy towards ragging in accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, UGC Regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Any act of ragging, harassment, intimidation, or humiliation of a student shall be treated as a serious offence and shall attract strict disciplinary and legal action.
Substance Abuse
  • Possession, consumption, distribution, or influence of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances, or any prohibited drugs within the University campus is strictly forbidden.
  • Violation of this provision may result in suspension, expulsion, and initiation of legal proceedings, wherever applicable.
Dress and Decorum
  • Students shall maintain a neat, decent, and professional appearance while attending academic activities and University events.
  • Students shall comply with any dress code, uniform requirements, or safety-related attire prescribed by the University.
Environmental and Social Responsibility
  • Students shall contribute to maintaining a clean, green, and sustainable campus environment.
  • Students shall avoid littering, wastage of resources, and activities that may harm the environment.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in community engagement, social responsibility initiatives, and activities that promote ethical citizenship.

Disciplinary Action

Violation of any provision of this Code may result in one or more of the following actions, depending upon the nature and severity of the misconduct:

  • Verbal or written warning.
  • Counseling and corrective measures.
  • Parent/Guardian notification.
  • Monetary penalty or recovery of damages.
  • Suspension of privileges or facilities.
  • Debarment from academic or extracurricular activities.
  • Suspension from classes or hostel.
  • Cancellation of admission.
  • Rustication or expulsion from the University
  • Legal action under applicable laws.

The decision of the competent authority of the University shall be final and binding.

Compliance

All students of DPGU-STR are required to read, understand, and abide by this Code of Conduct. Admission to the University shall imply acceptance of these rules and regulations and a commitment to uphold the values, dignity, and reputation of the institution.
